Just A Thought

I'm trying to learn the difference - the fine line between when to support decisions made by friends (decisions that make them seemingly happy), and saying something when I feel it may not be the best thing for them. But, who am I to say? Yes, as a friend, I believe I have the right and duty, but at the same time, who doesn't want to see their friends content? And shouldn't I trust my friends because I know they are logical people and are very capable of making the right choices for themselves? After all, they're my friends (lol). This isn't about anything super important, but having heard "what?! You should have said something" or "you should have told me" more than a few times this past month, I'm starting to think I've got something ticking right in my head. Now, I believe it's best to say something because I care. They can take it or leave it, but at least I know I've taken a step to ensure happiness.. and I expect the same from my friends. hah. Expect.

Sometimes...

... when I think about just how much info and content is available online (especially in blogs), I get so overwhelmed. I just want to find the top 100 according to MY standards for inspiration!! Where is that widget in the web world?

Beauty Challenge

Starting next Monday, I'm going to go through a whole week (this will end the following Monday at noon!) without applying any mascara and without straightening my hair. They're both damaging to my hair and I've been using them too often! I'll even try a couple of days without even blowdrying. Ahhh I need to research some ways to put some volume w/out using electricity!

Been seeing the iPad around everywhere. I think I will eventually get it when they come out with an upgrade - it's snazzy. "Steve Jobs reported [yesterday] that Apple is selling an iPad every three seconds" (Seth Godin). Couple people in the office have it. It's thin and sleek. We just got one in for our next give-away! Anyway, Oscar de la Renta has come up with an iPad clutch (Loooooove Oscar!!). It's gold, I think. I like it. It's limited edition (only 100 are available) and will be available exclusively on their website. So much nicer than one of those geeky rubber/silicone/grippy skins. 

I'm going to start my own Twitter soon (wait, I think I already have an account??). From research at work, I've found a bunch of fun Twitter personalities I want to keep track of :)

Subscribed to Seth Godin's blog so I've been receiving daily e-mails at work. He's a bestselling author (but, who was it who told me that you only need to sell 50 books to be considered a bestselling author?), entrepreneur, public speaker, and agent of change who gives business tips to change the way people think about marketing, work, etc. and seems to be in the know-how to grow companies.  Pretty interesting stuff.  Sometimes the simplest things are realized when you read these things.

Anyway, back to work. I have so many e-mails I've only JUST finished reading them all and it's been 1.5 hours since I've stepped foot in the office.

After all these years, it never ceases to make me fall in love with every picture she posts... I'm almost tempted to put sofia coppola's super perfect white linen sectional as my desktop picture. J'taime French style... le sigh.

I work with crazy ladies - love it. I should just write a blog about them. I'm sure it would generate a ton of hits.
